Features Overview

Village Life

Lubrin is a traditional, sleepy Spanish village, where you can find all the essentials, butchers, bakers, (not sure about candle stick makers), pharmacy and general stores. It is untouched by tourism, meaning you can experience life in ‘real’ Spain.

Locally produced olive oil and honey is available to buy and you can also tour the factories where they are produced, (our own olive oil is in fact pressed here). Wednesday is market day, when the whole village comes out to stock up on fruit and vegetable, as well as other goodies

Enjoying Life

You while away any time of the day sitting outside one of the various bars, watching the world go by whilst enjoying a ‘café con leche’ or cold ‘cerveza’. They all have a tapas menu to enjoy and sample some local dishes.

Lubrin has various fiestas throughout the year which are to be seen to be believed, the food fiesta in October and Fiesta de San Sebastian are well know throughout the area, attracting visitors from all over. The atmosphere is amazing, with the celebrating continuing well into the night…and following morning.

And more…..

There are plenty of places to explore nearby; the coast is only about 40 minutes away or you can be at the second highest point in Andalucía within an hour. The city of Almeria is also worth a visit if you can drag yourselves away from the peace and quiet of Lubrin..
